John has been with Holfeld since 2004, and prior to that, he worked with leading international games manufacturer, Hasbro for ten years, along with successfully running his own business for four years. Responsible for all operational issues at Holfeld, John is an Engineering Graduate from Carlow I.T.

Fergus McNamee, Technical Director
Fergus was one of the founding members of Holfeld Plastics back in 1980, when the company was established to supply foam packaging to the cosmetics industry. A leading figure in the development of the company over three decades, Fergus formerly worked for IBM, among others.
Tom Cummins, Irish Sales Manager
Tom has been with Holfeld Plastics since 2001, having joined the company’s technical sales team from former employer, Barlow Packaging. Tom holds a degree in Polymer Engineering from Athlone I.T. and also completed a postgraduate diploma in International Sales through Enterprise Ireland.
Gary Bage, Technical Sales Manager
Gary joined Holfeld in 2008 as Technical Sales Manager, bringing over two decades of technical experience to the company. Prior to Holfeld, he was Sales Director with a leading thermoforming company, and has an unrivalled level of expertise across all technical aspects of the Holfeld operation.
Patrick Ward (BSc, PhD), Research & Development Manager
Pat graduated from N.U.I. Maynooth in 2000 with a B.Sc. in biology. From 2000 to 2003 he pursued a Ph.D. in the Department on Industrial Microbiology U.C.D. in the area of biodegradable polymers. In 2006 he joined the Surface Engineering Group in the School of Electric, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering as a postdoctoral researcher in the area of biodegradable plastics and is one of the world’s foremost authorities on the subject.
