rPET Extrusion Equipment Investment at Holfeld Plastics

Holfeld Plastics are delighted to announce the purchase of state of the art extrusion equipment for our Irish Headquarters in Avoca, Co Wicklow, Ireland. This investment is in excess of €2 million and the purchased extruder will be fully operational by the middle of 2011. Speaking at the announcement, John Cullen, Operations Director commented that;

'The investment represents a significant capital outlay for the company but shows our continued focus on growing our rPET business both in the Irish and wider European markets. This new equipment adds a further 10,000 tonnes of capacity to our annual rPET operation and was purchased in response to our customers and the wider markets demands for sustainable plastic packaging.  This investment cements our position as one of Europe’s leading rPET formed rigid plastic packaging providers'.

The resulting rPET products will be fully compliant with EU directive 282/2008 for food grade rPET.
