Holfeld launch new range of rPet mushroom punnets

Holfeld are proud to announce the launch of their new range of rPET mushroom punnets.
RPET has many advantages over the traditional materials used. It has greater rigidity which allows for less material to be used in the punnet. The high gloss appearance and wide variety of colours available also help to give that extra pressence on the supermarket shelves.
Holfeld have also done a considerable amount of work in developing a heat sealable punnet for the market which will allow greater product security compared to the existing PVC overwrap materials used.
The environmental advantages of rPET are also a benefit to both the producer and the consumer. Many local authorities refuse to accept traditional polypropylene mushroom punnets into the re-cycling stream as they are not considered to be of sufficient quality. RPET on the other hand is fully recyclable and can re-enter the re-cycling chain without any difficulty.
